KIDS Count

Maine Children's Alliance is the source for data on Maine Kids.

MCA is proud to be a part of the national KIDS COUNT project, funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF) in efforts to track data on the status of kids accross the U.S.

Our Goal:

We provide data and information so policy and lawmakers can make informed decisions on policies and practices that affect Maine kids. Our goal is to empower YOU to be the best advocate for Maine kids. Together, we can give them the voice they deserve.

What We Do:

Since 1994, we have been publishing the MAINE KIDS COUNT Data Book biennially. This comprehensive resource includes county-by-county breakdowns and other valuable insights into the current status of Maine kids. The 2015 Maine KIDS COUNT Data Book will be released Winter 2015.

Our Partnership:

The National KIDS COUNT project releases a KIDS COUNT Data Book annually revealing statistics and trends on the status of children throughout the United States. Check out the 2015 KIDS COUNT Data Book! AECF also releases an additional policy report, in both the spring and the fall. This past May, they released the Every Kid Need's a Family, examining children in the child welfare system.
